Harro everyone!

This is a long needed entry since I’m a very lazy person… and I thought I might as well update you with what has been happening…

So lately MoCCA just happened… amazing! LET’S BREAK IT DOWN SHALL WE!           

BEFORE MoCCA

If I haven’t told everyone, I have been doing an idea called “Komodo: A Korean Fairy Tale” as my idea… [[Want more info on the story? Check out the site here!]] Anyway so I made the first draft, story, characters and outline. What did I need to do next? Ink and Tone it of course! So it took a really long while (I was basically working to the last minute with this project) anyway so like… I have been working my butt off and getting the pages done… and then Friday happened…

Random Friday story so I was walking to work, dead exhausted cause I was working all night on my story. It was raining and I usually walk with my umbrella in the front of me since I don’t want to get my front wet… (It’s very uncomfortable I believe) anyway so like that happens and I hear a woman talking really loud. I was thinking to my self, why is she thinking so loud like this? Isn’t this weird for her? Anyway I look up and it seems I was about to bump into her so I say “oh sorry” out loud. Then she said the most shocking and oddly disturbing thing ever…. She said

“Oh! You’re Asian and your fat? NO NO NO Asians can’t be fat”

And she walked away like nothing happened… while I was just standing there like… wtf… ANYWAY

So back to Friday… I was working to the last minute…getting this story done… when it was almost 6… yes… because I had to do other stuff a lazy stupid fat boss needed that wasn’t even due that day! Anyway basically what happened was I just needed to insert that last page in the indesign file… when basically… they said I have to leave… so I was standing in the elevator… with sweat going down my face… being horrified at the thought that this is the first time I haven’t finished on time… that I was last with my dead line… anyway so I headed towards the DIC where sexyvinnyt  was… and we stayed there to make copies and stuff… I was still upset that I didn’t finished… and had to pay to get my copies done… anyway

So that night… me sexyvinnyt  and megalosaurus  didn’t sleep… I had a sweatshop in my room… cause you know… we don’t sleep…

So MoCCA time!

MoCCA wasn’t that bad… there were a lot of interesting things! At first I was sort of exhausted because like… we didn’t sleep… and the set up and stuff was a lot of hard work! (I thought my guns could take it but honestly they were dead) anyway so it was also intimidating like. I didn’t want to reject anyone’s work when I go to a table… and because I didn’t want to go up to a table… but some how I got the energy to go up to people and get stuff! It was amazing! And I sold a decent about of stuff! So it was good for me! Yay!

Anyway but I also came to a realization that I am in the manga/manhwa industry… this might sound weird… being that I keep saying that I’m going to be a famous manhwa one day… but let me explain…

This year has been an overload of cartooning… both good and bad… a lot of times I felt like I didn’t explore the field good enough… like… when I was in childhood… all I did was read manga… and a few newspaper comics… but like… this sophomore year… it was like… fast! I felt like I was hurrying my deciding too quickly… I wanted to waddle in other puddles before coming back to my special puddle… so like… I explored… I saw the marvel/DC world… I saw the indie world… and I saw the anime/manga/manhwa side… and I have come to the conclusion… my style… though different and odd yet unique at the same time… is going to make it in the manhwa world… it will be perfected and it will entertain everyone. So I am proud to say that I will keep going with everything!

POST- MoCCA

So right now… I’m back to normal… working… going home… I will put komodo up on the site now so you who couldn’t read it could read a sample of it now… anyway

And I want to start writing the next few chapters of komodo but I had to order a book that needs to be printed with special request… so I wont get it within a week… so my chapters might be coming slower than I want it to go… 

And this week is also the New Jersey ANIMEnext convention… so I might go there to see if there are any publications that would like my portfolio… but I’m sort of broke… so well sees

And this is a list of stuff I might be doing within the next few weeks…

-Update website

-Experiment with bookbinding

-Correct my komodo chapter

-Print more copies of komodo

-Get portfolio ready

-Clean my room

-Join a gym/ lose 5 pounds by Saturday

-Organize the stuff from MoCCA

-Update my resume

-Try to start my comic without crying that I’m wasting time…

-Relax (but is that really in my dictionary?)

-Get ready for my Philly mission
